Who do we serve?

We serve students in grades K-5 that struggle with reading.

Do you do homework help?

No, we do not do homework help. This is a reading intervention company that creates customized lessons based on your child’s reading level and moves them beyond that.

How long will it take for my child to get on grade level?

That’s a great question. Since we are a reading intervention company we start at your child’s reading level using a systematic approach. There is no specific time frame because it all depends on how your child responds to intervention and how far below grade level they are. But expect your child to show growth within months of receiving reading intervention.

What is expected of me as a parent?

.Our goal is to provide your child with the best learning experience and we consider our parents partners in helping us achieve that.  

1. Remind your child when it is session time, so they are prompt to each session.

2. Help your child get connected for the first session and remind them how to connect for the next sessions.

3. Let the tutor know in advance if you need to cancel a session. (see Cancellation Policy)

4. Reply to messages promptly.

5. Make sure all payments are up to date as well as payment info.

What is expected from my child?

1. Your child needs to be ready to learn with a positive attitude. 

2. Have materials ready. 

3. Remain focused and limit any distractions. 

Do I pay as I go? Or is there a payment plan?

We use a tuition model. So payments are made monthly based on number of sessions. We coincide the calendar with holidays.

What if I cancel my session?

If a student fails to show up for a lesson without a 24-hour advanced notice, the lesson will not be refundable or available for rescheduling.

If you need to reschedule, let us know 24 hours in advance. If you cancel a session, you may reschedule the session up to one (1) time. If a student cancels more than three (3) times in a 30-day period, the parent will be notified, and the tutoring agreement may be terminated. 

We value each of our students, and parents must be committed and consistent with tutoring session times in order for students to make progress with their learning goals.

What will my child need for sessions?

Students will need a quiet space for the lesson. They also must have any materials needed ready to maximize lesson time. Students will need the following for online lessons:

 

  • Desktop or laptop with webcam (or you can use a separate webcam as well)
  • Headphones or earpieces 
  • High-speed internet access
Where do sessions take place?

Sessions will take place online via Zoom.
